Job Overview
The role of the SME -VTC is to provide day-to-day engineering support for a variety of leading efforts for audio video networks for NIWC.
Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- VTC Specialist with experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, particularly within the Naval Forces Central Command.
- Expertise in ensuring optimal system functionality through meticulous installation protocols and preventive maintenance routines.
- Tracking of task specific operational data.
- Operational efficiency of the commands SCI, Secret, Coalition Secret, Cross Domain, Controlled Unclassified Information, and Commercial VTC resources for conferences directly supporting the NAVCENT/C5F Commander, Department Heads, staff, subordinate Commanders, and their units.
- Development of technical specifications, Statements of Work (SOW) and related Government Cost Estimations (GCE) for telecommunications procurement contracts.
- Support technical documentation.
- Configuring and troubleshooting technical issues associated with AV controllers in accordance with the DoD I 8100.04 and have experience with DoD processes for configuring circuits.
- Developing PITCO and SOVT Plan documents.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Ten (10) years of Military Communications experience.
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner CASP+ Code: 7K50QYXNPH441T5D.
- AMX Technician (Networked AV) – Level I.
- Must be able to attain a Secret clearance.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and able to provide driving record upon request.
