Overview

Our Whippany office is small but we partner with a Design Engineering Team of over 125 diverse professionals who have some of the best minds in the business and we want you to be a part of that team. This position is an opportunity for someone who likes to do it all. This is a position that spans both Mechanical and Electrical Design as well as all aspects of Document Control. You will convert customer specifications for electrical and mechanical engineering concepts to practical RF, Digital or mixed technology mechanical and PCB design solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Soldering printed circuit boards using a microscope
  • Performing rework of printed circuit boards
  • Accurately filling out travelers and rework sheets
  • Working in a highly technical production environment with small pitch components
  • Working with Engineering as required
  • Work to industry IPC-610 standards including ISO requirements
  • Work to meet production schedules

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years' experience in Assembly
  • Must have experience with SMT soldering with a microscope
  • Must have experience doing rework of PCB's
  • Must be able to read assembly drawings and BOMs
  • Must be able to identify components by type
  • Good communication skills and team player
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
  • This position will require the ability to gain security clearance.

Preferred:

  • 4+ years' experience in Assembly preferred
  • Able to interpret and understand instructions, including technical drawings
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated Time management and organization skills
  • Assembly in defense, aerospace, or military work environment

Hourly Range: $22.83 - $31.73 hourly (Whippany, NJ)

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
