We are a global team of domain experts who work backwards from customers to provide specialist expertise across the entire lifecycle of an AWS initiative, from developing PRFAQs for new services to accelerate the adoption of established business.

As a senior leader on the WWSO team, you will use your strong management skills and your experience selling technology solutions to coach, retain, and motivate a senior Solutions Architect team that works with C-Level clients to transform their business. With each assignment, you will employ your dual strategic/tactical approach to determine short and long-term plans with a focus on increasing the team’s overall performance.

This specific role will be leading Solution Architects that are specialized in AWS Migration and Modernization portfolio of services including Oracle, Mainframe, VMWare, Microsoft workloads, Containers, Serverless technologies.

You will help team members ramp-up on AWS as well as develop speaking, writing, presentation, and executive interaction skills. You will be interacting, communicating and partnering with other departments within AWS such as our services teams, marketing, and professional services teams, as well as representing your team to executive management.

You will develop technical talent and educate, train, and enable cloud computing experts for a diverse and challenging set of Enterprise customers.

This role will include up to 30% travel.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will strategically engage at the executive level both with customers and internal stakeholders. You will develop and execute against a fast moving strategy plan.
  • Hire, on-board, coach, and develop new Solutions Architects from internal and external sources.
  • Develop mechanisms, and tools that enable fast engagement with customers and track key metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your team.
  • Build and leverage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to further the adoption of AWS services in the market.
  • Lead a Customer Obsessed business that delights our customers and aids in their innovation.
  • Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful Go-to-Market strategies to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
  • Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices. Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working within software development
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
  • Demonstrated presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated written communication skills
