Sales Strategy Director (F/M/D) - (Worldwide Flexible location)

Seco Tools is seeking a Sales Strategy Director to support our global Sales team, focused on managing the global sales strategy and ensuring it is in line with the global Seco strategy. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and will be part of the Sales Leadership team. The role is global and therefore the location is flexible, but with working hours as much as possible aligned with European time zone.

Your role

The Sales Strategy Director is responsible for creating, implementing, and reviewing a comprehensive global sales strategy to align with the overall organizational goals and ensure a consistent direction across different markets and regions. Ensuring that the sales strategy is well-communicated and understood by all members of the organization is crucial. The Sales Strategy Director bridges the gap between strategic decisions and their practical implementation. Collaborating with the Sales Leadership Team, the Director develops a long-term business plan. This plan highlights growth opportunities, considers market trends, technology and geopolitical changes, and identifies differentiation initiatives.

Identifying next-generation opportunities, anticipating market trends, and customer buying decisions 5-10 years ahead are priorities for this role, helping the organization to lead the way in creating a great customer experience in times of dynamic change.

Overseeing the Project Management Office, the Sales Strategy Director ensures effective leadership and direction for key global sales projects. This involves coordinating cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals.

The purpose is to ensure that Sales is aligned with the Seco Story.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Create an up to date Seco Global Sales Strategy and a process which requires annual review aligned with the Seco global strategy review, clearly communicated and understood by all the organization, including also identification of How to Serve the customer.
  2. Set up a process with each of the departments within the Sales Leadership Team to collaborate to create strategies for each that when consolidated will deliver the global sales strategy.
  3. Working with the Sales Leadership Team to create a 5 year Business Plan highlighting where the business will develop by geography and segment, while considering what external factors combined with our differentiation initiatives will influence growth.
  4. Managing the Sales Project Management Office to ensure there is skilled project management available for the key global sales projects.
  5. Creating a network to develop our next generation opportunities considering what will influence the market and the customers buying decisions 5-10 years ahead.

  6. Strong business mindset and financial understanding, result and people oriented, customer-centric in your thinking.

  8. Ability to collaborate with diverse partners on a global level, have networking skills, and embrace cultural differences.
  9. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional language is a plus.
