What you'll be working on...
- This role's primary responsibility is to support the Energy Logistics Department of Chesapeake Utilities.
- Typical job-related activities:
- Forecast natural gas demand
- Manage supply & storage procurement strategies
- Understand the business unit's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control narratives, and the risks they are designed to control. Suggest changes to the control narratives as needed to address new control deficiencies.
- Prepare regulatory filings and work on pipeline rate cases
- Evaluate capacity holdings
- Review and process supplier and pipeline invoices
- Reconcile data variances
- Communicate with internal and external parties
- Manage 3rd party supply programs
- Manage off-system sales transactions/programs
- Manage the Energy Logistics department according to tariff provisions
- Suggest changes to tariff rules to make the organization more streamlined, scalable, or economically competitive
- Respond to special requests by management

Who you are...
This role requires conceptual knowledge of practices and procedures within a given area of expertise. The successful employee will apply general business knowledge that has been gained through education or prior work experience. There are no supervisory responsibilities, the employee is responsible for his/her own contribution. Regarding interpersonal communication, the role exchanges basic information and checks for understanding from the team. A proficient use of Microsoft Excel to write formulas is expected.
