Machine TechnicianThe Machine Technician at Bensonwood will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of woodworking and manufacturing machines. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Maintain woodworking and manufacturing machines, including CNC machines.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Maintain detailed records of machine performance, maintenance activities, and production metrics.Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.Provide training and support to other team members on machine operation and maintenance procedures.Qualifications:Technical or vocational training in machinery operation or maintenanceElectrician skillsAvailability for off-hours repairsExperience with hydraulics, welding/metalwork, pneumatics, and fabricationMinimum 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining woodworking or manufacturing machineryStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsProficiency with hand and power toolsFamiliarity with CNC programming and operation (a plus)Excellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to safety and sustainable building practicesPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and work on machinery for extended periods.Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation will be based on skill level and experience.
