Manage a team of closing associates, as well as training and coaching closing associates in day-to-day functions in order to increase overall team performance, thus ensuring the process is within the service level agreement and regulatory requirements. Responsible for managing time-cards for closing associates, thus ensuring accuracy for work hours logged as well as giving approval for any necessary overtime and paid time off. Manage relationships with internal teams as well as third parties to ensure a positive work environment and facilitate a smooth closing process. Perform call audits in order to ensure all closing associates are meeting compliance standards as well as customer service requirements. Serve as the main point of contact for escalated files, thus ensuring customer satisfaction and company standards are met. Responsible for making sure closing timelines are met; assist in preparing and reviewing financial information and documentation for appropriate submission and review. Serve as a resource to facilitate knowledge and resource sharing, in order to constantly improve and evolve internal processes and best practices within industry regulations. Manage relationships with closing associates through 1-on-1 coaching and development sessions, and deliver feedback as well as disciplinary action if necessary. Responsible for overseeing closing stage of the loan process of east coast Better Partnerships, and working with Upper Management to ensure partners quality standards are met at closing stage. * Position will have up to fourteen (14) Closing Experts as direct reports who will provide guidance on Better closing projects.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMaster’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Information Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a team lead or associate position.SKILLS REQUIREMENTSExperience must include one (1) year in the following: 1) Identifying capacities of team members and their pipelines, and managing the production flow to ensure monthly pipeline team goals are met within service level agreements; 2) Working with mortgage industry software (including Encompass, DocMagic, Looker, Metabase and Snapdocs), mortgage closing documents, Power of Attorneys, title policies, appraisals, Desktop Underwriting (DU) and TRID compliant closing disclosures; 3) Examining loan files for accuracy and compliance by auditing documents including TILs (truth in lending disclosure), TALCs (Total Annual Loan Costs), and other loan documents and fees for funding purposes; 4) Working with rules, regulations and laws of mortgage banking, investors, Fannie Mae guidelines, and all local and federal agencies, including Fair Lending Compliance Act, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act), Reg Z, Bank Secrecy Act, and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA); and 5) Working with mortgage state laws and loan types, including conforming and non-conforming loans, conventional loans (Jumbo), and FHA requirements.Background checks may be required.APPLICANT INSTRUCTIONS:To apply, submit resume by mail to Must reference job title and job code.Minimum Salary: 140483 Maximum Salary: 140483 Salary Unit: Yearly
