Job Overview - Tax Advisor:
We are seeking a Tax Advisor to join our client's team in Boston, MA. This role involves tax return preparation and planning for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days remote.
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $125,000-$195,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Tax Advisor:
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals.
- Meet with clients and trustees to discuss tax planning strategies.
- Process quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Identify and address taxable events with legal implications.
- Collaborate on tax planning initiatives and projects.
- Mentor junior Tax Advisors.
- Utilize tax software (BNA, Profx) for research and preparation.
- Work with teams to optimize technology and workflows.
- 7+ years in individual tax return preparation.
- 5+ years in client financial planning and analysis.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Accounting, Taxation, or CFP required.
- Knowledge of individual, gift, fiduciary, and estate tax matters.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines with a strong work ethic and customer service skills.
