Role: Internal Audit Data Scientist Lead
Location: Austin, TX, or Redwood City, CA. This is a hybrid role in either location.
Note: This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain US federal government security clearance (secret level or higher).
ABOUT THE TEAM
Oracle’s Business Assessment & Audit team (BA&A) is responsible for providing enterprise risk management services on behalf of the executive management team and board of Oracle Corporation as well as its publicly traded subsidiaries.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Proactively develop and analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders, BA&A team members and BA&A leadership, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate areas needing improvement in efficiency and/or productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in planning, development, and execution of data analysis as part of audit project planning.
- Provide support on the existing data analytics environment and Reporting Dashboard environments.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain analytical procedures using analytics tools and programming languages.
- Pilot and deploy advanced data analytics tools & techniques using AI and machine learning.
- Train users, document analytical procedures, and report engagement progress.
- Engage with technical teams to understand source data and various applications.
- Work closely with technical/functional experts to support IA objectives.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in data analytics supporting audits.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Competent interpersonal skills, able to lead projects and mentor others.
- Ability to evaluate business processes and IT technology.
- Microsoft Office suite experience and proficiency in SQL, Python.
- CISA or relevant professional certifications preferred.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
