As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our centers while fostering a highly engaged and motivated facilities team. You will manage a team of remote Maintenance Technicians, working collaboratively with Facilities Coordinators at our corporate office. Your primary responsibilities include supervising day-to-day activities and coordinating with external partners to enhance the maintenance and appearance of our centers and properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision, training, development, and mentoring to a team of technicians.
  • Actively engage with center staff to promote best practices in facility maintenance. Foster a culture of collaboration and communication between the facilities team and center staff.
  • Collaborate with local vendors to complete more complex repairs, and monitor vendor performance. Project management assistance as needed.
  • Inspect ongoing maintenance at the centers assigned to Technicians in their area of responsibility/market.
  • Monitor work orders to priority timelines, van GPS, surveys, and special projects for their area, for the purpose of completing work-related tasks, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), timecard management, product ordering system, proposals, review and approve purchasing cards, timecards, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience as Technician and multi-unit oversight.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, roofing, construction, playground, and childcare safety.
  • Certifications: Trade/vocational training or certifications in areas such as playgrounds, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, and construction.
  • Ability to complete course within 1 year for Maintain Certified Playground Safety Instruction Inspector (CPSI) status.
  • Ability to manage, develop, mentor, coach, and lead a team.
  • Self-motivated, with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and work-related electronic equipment (e.g., iPhone, iPad, laptop if provided).
  • Ability to travel 50% or more, including visiting all centers annually and emergency travel when required.
  • Ability and appetite to lead and engage diverse and equitable teams.
