As an Account Director, you will be responsible for the overall client development of a designated geographic region, marketing all Freese and Nichols practices for our municipal, county, water district/river authority, transportation agency, airport, port, and rail/transit agency clients. You will independently partner with clients to create and develop projects and opportunities. As an integral part of our Key and Strategic Account program, you will lead strategic planning and coordinate with operational groups and practices on targeted approaches. This position is 75% external sales and 25% internal sales.
Freese and Nichols is seeking an Account Director in Rogers, Arkansas. As Account Director, you will partner with clients to create and develop projects and opportunities, developing client accounts with multiple practices in partnership with group and division leadership. You will be a liaison between clients and internal delivery teams to ensure projects meet client expectations and are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships and serve as the point of contact and liaison for customers.
- Conduct client-facing interactions. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients via email, phone, and in-person.
- Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities.
- Assist in implementing Freese and Nichols sales strategies.
- Develop relationships with identified key and strategic client accounts.
- May serve in one or more client representative roles.
- Coordinate, assist, and attend client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
- Oversee preparation of presentations for internal sales teams and external clients.
- Prepare, attend, and participate in sales presentations such as lunch and learns, brown bags, and trainings.
- May supervise activities and tasks of identified Business Development staff.
- Collaborate and enhance the Key and Strategic Account Program.
- Coordinate with accounting to report on financial metrics.
- Identify areas and processes for improvement or efficiency.
- Represent Freese and Nichols through involvement in related industry professional organizations and/or community leadership roles.
- Develop teaming strategies for specific opportunities.
- May serve in a senior advisor role for various projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other related discipline or associate’s degree and related experience.
- 12+ years' experience in sales and/or industry business development or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Demonstrated, strong experience working with municipalities/local government entities.
