Production Manager
Reports to: VP of Operations
Position Summary:
The Production Manager (PM) position for Kryton is responsible for utilizing the available personnel and internal systems to execute Kryton’s overall Production strategy. Through a team of direct reports, the PM will be accountable for a balanced approach to the 6 components of EOS to drive results for Kryton. The PM will have the ability to balance thinking both “in” and “on” the business in order to maintain a continuous improvement culture. With a growth mindset, the Production Manager will have a balanced approach to safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. The PM provides leadership & management for the Production team and is a key member of Kryton’s overall Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversite of weekly staffing procedures and execution
- Responsible for effective, thorough communication throughout the production teams through shift start-up meetings, department level 10 meetings, and other applicable communication channels
- Performance management oversite for all Production employees
- Oversite and final sign-off on team member hours accountability (GSS & ADP)
- Collaborate cross functionally to improve global flow throughout Kryton
- Partner with the Quality team to ensure Kryton’s internal stakeholders conform to the Quality Management System
- Develop and manage the Production annual budget with the VP of Operations
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Business Development teams to keep a focus on what is best for Kryton and our customers
- Participate in new employee hiring and onboarding processes to ensure team members are effectively engaged and properly trained for their work
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisor/leadership role in manufacturing operations demonstrating performance improvements and clear results.
- Demonstrated experience working within a continuous improvement culture
- Positive leadership approach with an ability to motivate, train, and develop a team.
- Ability to work through ambiguous situations and provide clear and concise solutions
- Strong analytical thinking & tactical skillset
- Ability to think strategically in partnership with VP of Operations
- High self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Strong written and oral communication skills
