Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a VP Sales (Transportation/Logistics) to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business growth and market share objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.
- Identify and implement innovative sales techniques and tools to enhance the sales process and improve efficiency.
- Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, logistics and transportation management systems, CRM software.
- Deep understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
- Experience with supply chain management and logistics solutions.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and closing high-value deals.
- Experience in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Ability to interpret sales data and market research to inform strategic decisions.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
