Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a VP Sales (Transportation/Logistics) to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $200,000 per year.


Job Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business growth and market share objectives.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  3. Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.
  4. Identify and implement innovative sales techniques and tools to enhance the sales process and improve efficiency.
  5. Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts.
  6. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  8. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  9. Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications/Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  2. 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry.
  3. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, logistics and transportation management systems, CRM software.
  4. Deep understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  5. Experience with supply chain management and logistics solutions.
  6. Proficiency in contract negotiation and closing high-value deals.
  7. Experience in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams.
  8. Ability to interpret sales data and market research to inform strategic decisions.
  9. Willingness to travel as needed.
