As the Training and Travel Coordinator , you will provide administrative support to the Project Management Office Staff (PMO). You will maintain a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the PMO, which includes understanding the training and travel requirements of employees. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, and can register/reserve multiple people for training and travel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides principal administrative support in the Project Management Office.
  • With only general instructions, provides a variety of administrative support in reviewing and maintaining project documentation and deliverables to the customer.
  • Maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff.
  • Works fairly independently, receiving a moderate amount of detailed supervision and guidance.
  • Assists new employees with OCONUS travel.
  • Understands our Client’s travel requirements and makes appropriate travel recommendations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • This position involves heavy customer (employee) interaction and therefore requires superior customer service skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a training or travel coordinator.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency using Microsoft products (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project) and work management systems such as MAXIMO or CMMS is a plus.

Physical Demands/Working Environment: Limited physical demands, possible travel for 3 or 4 days to domestic locations.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret w/ a Full Scope Poly.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Safe driving record.
