Reporting to the VP of Sales North America - The Sales Director, Women’s Fashion Footwear & Accessories will build a targeted list of prospective new partners and channels of business across premium department stores, independent fashion boutiques, digital retail, specialty retailers, etc. and support our department store women’s account executives to reprofile the Cole Haan brand within our channels of distribution.

Aligned with the Women’s corporate acceleration plan, the Women’s Fashion Sales Director will lead the development of the NA Women’s Marketplace strategy. Key focuses will be to create Brand energy to connect with expanded consumer base and diversify and expand the Cole Haan distribution footprint as a foundation for significant scalable growth over the next 3 years.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for expansion of Cole Haan Brand footprint across existing and new Wholesale customer base, to drive significant growth over the next 3 years
  • KPIs include target revenue, margin, range expansion, new accounts set up, strategic planning and partnership
  • Drive the Women’s wholesale strategy and create an execution plan for business development in these channels to build, deliver, and exceed financial growth goals
  • Partner with Brand and product leadership to define target consumer profiles, target account strategies, and product merchandising strategies for the channel and by account
  • Develop Target Account Lists across the following:

-Boutiques

-Women’s Specialty & Digital Accounts

-Fashion Footwear and Accessories

  • Co-author a 3-year strategic business plan by channel and by customer to drive range expansion, revenue, margin, and key brand marketing assets
  • Develop roadmap for execution, including contact names in leadership, meeting cadence, pre-selling activities, testing plans, and delivery
  • Plan assortment by account leveraging existing development and incorporating future product plans
  • Inform corporate merchandising teams for future product development
  • Execute meetings to open/reset accounts in these channels
  • Manage sales relationship, day-to-day business, and account performance
  • Partner with Wholesale Planning and Wholesale Finance to develop account level plans and manage inventory plans for current and future seasons whilst achieving financial KPI’s
  • Work with NA Wholesale Marketing to develop marketing strategies and plans to support sell-thru and growth expansion as well as develop materials and execute against brand priorities
  • Attract, develop, and retain future sales talent

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

You have direct, meaningful relationships with senior buying and merchandising executives at major national accounts and women’s fashion digital pureplay accounts as well as owners of leading women’s independent fashion retailers. You will represent the Cole Haan brand in a manner that will create credibility and authenticity within this specific channel.

You are an experienced sales professional with strong financial acumen and broad-based business knowledge.

You have a proven passion for Women’s fashion, footwear and accessories, consumer trends, and a desire to rethink how shape our Women’s Premium business and sales distribution.

You have an open, direct, and supportive management style, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting to large audiences.

You value dedication, drive, and stamina. Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on. An effective team player. A highly motivated person who creates an atmosphere in which people work together effectively to produce exceptional results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 7+ years relevant experience in women’s fashion sales (merchandising/product line management Is a bonus) within a vertically integrated retailer or fashion brand
  • 3+ years of people management and people responsibility
  • Excellent trend awareness and understanding of product and consumer expectations across all channels
  • Proven ability to operate successfully in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively across the organization
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong, proven team leadership and mentorship capabilities
  • Successfully operate autonomously
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strength in presenting to large audiences, storytelling, features and benefits, brand positioning
  • High proficiency of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Base Salary/Hourly Range: From $175to $190k annually*

Bonus Eligibility: Yes, eligible for annual target bonus based on company and individual performance
