Job Overview:
The Financial Analyst at ISN is a partner to the business and provides valuable reporting used to make data-driven business decisions on day-to-day operations and long rage strategic plans. This role interacts with various internal customers from the Executive team to those in individual contributor roles. This team supports work done across all departments and functions. Core responsibilities include conducting full life cycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design of financial reporting. Financial Analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements on budgeting and forecasting.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop customized reports from databases to extract and collect data according to client or management needs
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Play a key role in budgeting and forecasting analysis.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations
  • Present data in a way that is most meaningful and readily accessible to the business
  • Collaborate with end users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation
  • Provide support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Turn data into visual representations

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Minimum formal education required: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area (such as finance, accounting, or data analytics) is preferred
  • A combination of education and work experience also eligible
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in financial data analysis in an enterprise (corporate) environment
  • Strong analytical experience working with financial information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams
  • Expert level data manipulation and analysis in Excel (ex: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formula applications, What-If analysis, data review & validation)
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience using PowerBI to create dashboards, visualizations, reports, etc.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio
  • Ability to read and write queries in SQL
  • Familiarity with large databases
  • Experience using SQL to run queries and perform data review/analysis
