Rockstar New York is seeking a passionate Project Manager who will help organize and manage design and construction projects for the Workplace Services Team. This role is responsible for managing and collaborating with internal workplace teams as well as external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgets.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Workplace Services Team is responsible for ensuring the workplace, building, facilities, and services work harmoniously together to support core business operations.
  • We create a creative, supportive, and safe working environment for the staff at Rockstar.
  • We manage and develop both hard and soft facilities services, including building maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and space utilization and strategy.
  • We ensure all sites comply with relevant guidance and legislation.
  • We partner with senior leadership to drive real estate growth strategies, leasehold improvement, and capital expenditure projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all facets of individual capital projects including budgeting, planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Partner with studio leadership and key stakeholders to define project requirements.
  • Collaborate on best practices of project management and technical knowledge on the design and construction fields to improve the overall effectiveness of internal workflows.
  • Manage 3rd-party project delivery resources/teams (consultants, contractors, vendors, etc.).
  • Compile all critical information needed on the client side for a successful project including scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budgets, cash flow projections, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control plans, and risk management.
  • Read and understand complex documents related to capital projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
  • Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process. Conduct standard to complex request for proposals, complete bid analysis, conduct evaluation interviews, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement communication plans for meetings and written reports / minutes to keep internal stakeholders and project resources informed. Facilitate project update meetings.
  • Track progress of each project against goals, approved budgets & timelines. Report status and variances. Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and keep on schedule.
  • Identify complex project risks, conduct constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation / contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate risk.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
  • 5-8 years of experience in an engineering, architecture or construction firm.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (business case, larger economic implications, business risk, etc.).

SKILLS

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents.
  • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using a distinctive style.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings, construction contracts, contractor billings, shop drawing, and specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of the design and construction of interior office spaces and MEP/FA/SP, telecom, security, and AV systems.
  • Experience forecasting and preparing budgets and financial reports / analysis.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General working knowledge of project management software. (Bluebeam, Monday, Procore, etc.)

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

  • PMP (US and/or Canada) and/or LEED AP.
  • Extended experience with design and installation of IT Infrastructure or Production Studios Projects.
