Purpose
The Grants Manager oversees the full lifecycle of grants. They are responsible for researching and validating grant opportunities, preparing grant proposals, managing awards, completing and submitting reporting requirements. The Grants Manager is the lead on the organization's more complex grants primarily but not exclusively federal in nature such as Human Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). and tracks and manages day to day workflows. The Grants Manager works with team members across the organization to track progress on all grants and ensure objectives are met.They will work independently and in partnership with the leadership and other team members to achieve Neighborcare Health's Mission, Guiding Principles and goals.

In this position you will:
  • Oversee tracking of all department grants to ensure objectives are met
  • Research, organize, write and manage a portfolio of grants, including complex federal funders and quasi-governmental agencies
  • Maintain strong relationships with grant funders and internal program staff
  • Partner with program staff to develop program, content and reports
  • Draft budgets in partnership with the finance team and grant outcomes
  • Research additional opportunities, evaluate prospects and make recommendations
  • Manage timelines and deadlines
  • Negotiate contract deliverables as designated by management
  • Maintain files, both electronic and paper
  • Reconcile grant revenues with accounting
  • At times represent Neighborcare Health to funders
  • Advise and update the Senior Leadership Team and others as needed
  • Uphold Neighborcare Health service commitments: (a warm welcome; respect; caring; working together and trusting relationship) with internal and external customers
  • Maintain professional standards that reflect positively on the organization
  • Perform other duties as may be required from time to time and in emergencies
Required for this job:
  • Knowledge of federal grants, HRSA strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of health care funding
  • Knowledge of best practices in grant writing and grant management
  • Knowledge of program planning
  • Knowledge and proficiency in use of the Electronic Handbook or similar interfaces
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of office (Word & Excel)
  • Significant skill in oral, written and interpersonal communication
  • Skill in time management and problem solving
  • Skill in collaborating with and motivating team members
  • Ability to understand and work with budgets
  • Ability to understand and make a commitment to the mission and values of Neighborcare
  • Ability to understand fund development process and to work with other staff members to further Neighborcare's goalswithin this process
  • Ability to handle privileged information in a discreet and confidential manner
  • Ability to manage timelines, plan accordingly and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work resourcefully in the absence of detailed instructions
  • Ability to meet and comply with HIPPA/Confidentiality policies and procedures and ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to set clear priorities and use good judgment
  • Ability to work occasional weekend and evenings
  • Ability to apply in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion concepts to grants and fundraising practice
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with major coursework in the humanities, business or public administration, planning or a related field, highly preferred.
  • Experience working with HRSA grants strongly preferred
Years of Relevant Experience Required:
  • 5 years or more experience in grants, required
  • Minimum three years of work managing federal grants

Compensation
  • The wage range for this position is minimum $85,633.60 to $119,995.20.
  • Compensation will be determined based on years of relevant experience.
