Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to support our Insurance Defense team in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with case management, legal research, and document preparation, focusing on insurance defense litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a deep understanding of legal procedures in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• Conduct in-depth legal research related to insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, and other claims.
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documents.
• Prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials by assembling exhibits, witness lists, and other relevant materials.
• Liaise with clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
• Assist in drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
• File legal documents with courts, both electronically and in-person, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Summarize depositions, trial transcripts, and other legal documents for attorney review.
• Monitor case developments and report relevant information to attorneys for case strategy updates.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of paralegal experience in insurance defense or civil litigation.
• Education: Paralegal certification or Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
• Familiarity with e-filing systems for Florida state and federal courts.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Insurance Defense: Experience with personal injury, auto liability, property damage, or other related insurance claims preferred.
• Location: Candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
