The Controls, Policies & Governance (CPG) team, part of the Corporate Controller’s Group, is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and evolving The Coca-Cola Company’s financial and sustainability internal controls, financial and operational policies, and governance processes globally. This role provides key analysis and insights to field locations and senior leadership regarding governance, policy interpretation, and key control requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of the Company’s global operations, lead governance transformation projects, and engage regularly with senior management while shaping the evolution of internal controls and governance processes.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Lead the evolution of the Company’s Delegation of Authority (DOA) by collaborating with Company Operations, key stakeholders, and external benchmarks to continuously improve the DOA user experience and ensure comprehensive, risk-appropriate approval governance.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in interpreting DOA requirements and implementing Local Charts of Authority (LCOA) and Purchase Order Release Strategies, steering their global application in acquired operations.

  • Administer and develop the Risk and Control model that supports the Company’s Sustainability Reporting requirements, communicate changes to the model, and ensure alignment with key stakeholders including Public Affairs and Communication (PACS), Sustainability Finance and Governance, Internal and External Audit.

  • Provide back-up support to the IT internal controls governance process over financial and sustainability reporting, including supporting the annual user access reviews and SOC reporting and evaluation processes.

  • Support the ongoing reporting for the Cross-Functional “Governance for Growth” framework, by collaborating with non-finance functions (e.g., Technical, Data Privacy, PACS, etc.) across acquired operations, ensuring that minimum governance requirements are established, communicated, monitored, and reported to senior leadership.

  • Offer comprehensive guidance and advice to global Company Operations and Functions on governance priorities, policy interpretation and internal control requirements.

  • Develop and enhance global internal controls, financial policy, and governance content by collaborating with stakeholders and conducting external benchmarking, identifying, and analyzing recommendations for process and system simplification, automation, and digitization opportunities, while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Identify emerging control and governance risks through proactive collaboration with Operations, Corporate Internal Audit, External Auditors, and other relevant parties. Identify and use data that can support identification of emerging control and governance risks.

  • Lead and contribute to complex transformation initiatives, including system implementations, policy, and process simplifications, ensuring risk-appropriate solutions are implemented and effective internal controls and governance requirements are met.

  • Support the digitization of governance and control activities, leveraging emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to drive impactful improvements efficiencies and actionable data insights.

  • Collaborate and partner with a broad range of stakeholders and senior leaders to drive enhancements in our internal control environment with sufficient agility to understand and impact a wide variety of topics, business models, and governance approaches.

  • Demonstrate strong listening and influencing skills to balance risk acceptance with control and policy requirements, while identifying and implementing risk-appropriate process and system improvement solutions.

  • Exhibit executive presence to confidently set and communicate control and policy standards, effectively interacting with all levels of the organization, including Senior Leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Finance or Accounting degree, professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIA) preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting & Closing, Internal or External Audit, or Compliance roles.

  • In-depth understanding of financial reporting and internal control processes in multinational operations.

  • Strong understanding of financial system controls, ensuring compliance and effectiveness in risk mitigation strategies.

  • Proven track record in leading and/or supporting global teams and projects, delivering transformative change and process simplification.

  • High attention to detail, with exceptional risk assessment and change management capabilities, applying best practices in financial and operational governance.

  • Demonstrated thought-leadership and transformational mindset, driving conceptual thinking, process design, and complex problem-solving.

  • Strong adaptability and collaboration skills, effectively building business partnerships and thriving in ambiguous situations.
