CAF Canada is building its Canadian team and hiring a Managing Director. This is a new position responsible for leading successful organizational strategy and operations, growing charitable contributions, and fostering productive internal and external relationships. Reporting to the CEO of CAF Canada, the Managing Director collaborates with peers at CAF America to manage CAF Canada and coordinate with the CAF Canada Board of Directors. Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000

CAF Canada (Charities Aid Foundation Canada) was established in Toronto, Canada in 2013 as a Canada Revenue Agency-registered charity with the aim of transforming the culture of giving.

Building on the successful track record of the original CAF Office, CAF UK, which was founded in 1924, and CAF America established in 1992, CAF Canada is a proud member of the CAF Group, which includes Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) in the UK, CAF Bank, CAF America, and CAF Canada.

Through advice and education, CAF Canada offers donors a continuum of philanthropic solutions, from a single gift to ongoing giving for sustained impact.

Experience and Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, international development, nonprofit management or related area; Master degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role with responsibility for building the structures that support an engaged and successful team of staff members
  • Senior leadership experience in the Not-for-Profit, Charitable, Community Foundation or Wealth Management sectors could be an asset
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategy, implementing organizational business goals and achieving tangible outcomes
  • Highly skilled in developing and nurturing productive external partnerships
  • Knowledgeable on the Canadian marketplace with an understanding of philanthropy and nonprofits in Canada
  • Experience working successfully with a national Board of Directors
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities that add value
  • Strong analytical skills with a solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication that creates clarity, inspires and builds confidence
  • Impeccable track record for ethical business practices, decisions and conduct
  • Ability to flex and successfully adapt to changing conditions
  • Ability to travel nationally (Canada and USA) with some international travel
