Responsibilities

  • Patient Reception : Greeting patients as they arrive, checking them in, and ensuring they have the necessary paperwork completed.
  • Appointment Scheduling : Managing the appointment calendar, scheduling new appointments, rescheduling existing ones, and confirming upcoming appointments.
  • Phone Management : Answering phone calls, addressing patient inquiries, and providing information about services, procedures, and office policies.
  • Insurance Verification : Collecting insurance information, verifying coverage, and explaining benefits to patients.
  • Billing and Payments : Processing payments, issuing invoices, and handling financial transactions, including co-pays and outstanding balances.
  • Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and personal information.
  • Communication : Liaising between patients and dental staff, ensuring clear communication regarding treatment plans, follow-ups, and patient needs.
  • Office Management : Managing office supplies, ensuring the waiting area is tidy, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Patient Education : Providing information about oral health, treatment procedures, and post-appointment care as needed.
  • Compliance : Ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements regarding patient confidentiality and safety.
