Job Description
MBK Real Estate is growing its HRIS Team and hiring a Senior HRIS Analyst-Workday to join our team in Irvine, CA. This will be a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The Salary Range is $100,000-$130,000.
The HRIS Senior Analyst - Workday oversees the technical aspects and product roadmap for MBK's Workday HCM platform. This role also owns any additional HR systems and integrations that are inbound/outbound of Workday. Along with the Director, HRIS, the Senior Analyst will guide the organization through enhancements, break fixes and the bi-annual product releases in Workday. They will be seen as the technical Workday subject matter expert ("SME") within the Human Resources department ("HR") and enterprise wide. This role will act as the business liaison with HR, IT, Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, Payroll, and other teams for bridging HR Business Requirements. This individual serves as a technical point of contact and is the SME with ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for effectiveness.
Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for day-to-day management and maintenance of the Workday platform, and project lead for the Workday platform, including requirement-gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with SMEs across all subdisciplines (e.g., Benefits, Talent, Payroll, Learning, Finance) to simplify and optimize processes, reduce manual efforts, and enhance business capabilities.
  • In conjunction with HR, legal, and other partners, monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws in relation to Workday platform (e.g., wage/hour, Affordable Care Act, EEO, HIPAA, etc.). Identify, investigate, and implement solutions to ensure compliance.
  • Configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Workday integrations to third party systems.
  • Serve as Workday security administrator and technical SME. Responsible for ensuring system and data integrity and confidentiality related to system administration and data management.
  • Balance vendor relationships and internal/external resourcing to support internal teams and goals.
  • Track and analyze Workday performance metrics, enhancement requests, and application issues. Maintain currency on Workday enhancements, leveraging the latest industry knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement for the organization. Seek opportunities for innovation and maximizing system functionality by continually developing skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Review tasks and seek opportunities to refine processes in conjunction with the HRIS roadmap and leadership.
  • Train new and existing HRIS users on system functionality and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the HRIS management team, and wider HR team, in implementing updates and new features.
  • Develop, review, and update system documentation in the event of changes or new implementation. Create training manuals, user guides, and other documentation of HR business processes.
  • Utilize leading practices to effectively anticipate, prioritize, analyze, document, and articulate problems, evaluate and document problem alternatives, manage constraints, and suggest, implement or oversee interim and long-term solutions. Produce reports, make recommendations, and implement/oversee required changes for enhancing use of Workday and modules.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences and to translate technical terms into digestible information when meeting with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local human resources regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, wage/hour, ACA).
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS structure, functions, and processes, and experience with outbound/inbound integrations (Workday Studio is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management ability and strategic thinking
  • Able to interact with and present to multiple levels of the organization
  • Must be self-motivated and customer-focused
  • Must be able to work autonomously
Requirements:
  • Minimum six years of HRIS
  • Minimum three years of hands-on, technical experience within Workday (Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Reporting, Prism, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • HRIS (Workday preferred) implementation experience
  • 3-5 years of human resources experience in a multi-state organization in an industry with a high non-exempt population
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook): an electronic time and attendance system, and various HRIS applications
  • Thorough knowledge of Workday, HR and business software applications.
  • Recognized HR (i.e. PHRi, SHRM, etc.) certification and/or Workday Pro certified
Physical Demands:
  • Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the workday and between divisions
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and push up to 20lbs.as necessary
  • Some travel required
