A Brief Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Optimization, the Director of Supply Chain Systems will lead the creation and maintenance of the Supply Chain portfolio of systems. The Director will direct both the product owner function and the implementation team, leading initiatives related to solution identification, RFPs, budget creation, project management, deployment, upgrade paths, and aging of assets. They will manage our portfolio of projects and provide status updates, acting as program or project manager on key efforts as assigned. This role requires travel to support the implementation team related to deployment of the applications in the field and has a heavy organizational change management responsibility.

What you will do

  • Lead the product owners (WMS, ERP, OMS, TMS, etc.) and the implementation team to drive best in class business lead system design, configuration, and implementation.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor key talent to build a world-class distribution and logistics organization.
  • Conduct site visits to support implementation of operations systems and processes, lead projects, conduct site training, perform audits, and assist optimization and standardization programs.
  • Manage critical project components including project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement through all phases of the systems life cycle.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain PMO and/or Project Manager in planning, execution, delivery, and closeout of projects impacting operational processes.
  • Oversee asset management including life cycle planning, management, and creation of annual capital budgets.
  • Assess the fit of complex IT solutions and identify gaps early for evaluation in the pursuit/solution development process.
  • Create and ensure cross-functional alignment on business plans and network risk mitigation.
  • Maintain operational integrity, open communication channels, and resolve issues effectively.
  • 40-50% travel to Supply Chain Sites or Home Office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive continuous improvement leadership, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong process, investigation, influence, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive significant, positive impact across a large-scale operating company.
  • Experience with Korber (High Jump) or Tier 1 WMS and Oracle is a plus.
  • Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement Skills.
  • Experience with Project Management Software, Processes, and Tools.
  • Experience with a growth organization focused on positive culture and engagement.
  • Experience in leading national or global initiatives with heavy organizational change management requirements.
