POSITION SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:
The Systems Administrator manages the substantial infrastructure of on-site and off-site system assets. This position ensures operating functionality (upkeep, configuration and optimum uptime) for workstations and servers. The Systems Administrator explores new and changing technology to ensure the agency realizes best practices, cybersecurity and automation solutions.
This position works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: At least 2 years of formal computer instruction. 4 years of computer related job experience may be substituted for education.
Experience Required: At least 2 years of experience with server hardware, software, networking and Microsoft365/Office 365.
Registration, Certification, Licensure or other Qualifications Required:
- Must maintain a valid Texas Driver's license, auto liability insurance and a driving record acceptable to PermiaCare's insurance requirements.
- Required to pass criminal history and background checks as well as pre-employment drug screen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems/servers as needed.
- Document the configuration of the system as needed.
- Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Responsible for performance tuning, uptime, and troubleshooting issues and downtime. Responsible for documenting and reporting to supervisor a reconciled list of machines and their updated status monthly.
- Install, configure and maintain software on servers, such as anti-virus, mobile connectivity and encryption, repair and maintain servers, migrate servers. Distribute appropriate documentation to IS Share and communicate its location.
- Responsible for system security. Responsible for tracking all suspected cybersecurity breaches in the Tracking Logs spreadsheet daily.
- Responsible for configuring and troubleshooting Zoom Rooms and other cloud based solutions.
- Create and maintain the agency's internal user accounts and cloud based email, One Drives, and SharePoint accounts.
- Support clinical staff in efforts to enter documentation and troubleshoot any problems encountered with the EHR as needed.
- Back up for batching records when the Data Coordinator is unavailable.
- Provide user support as back up in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, email and networking issues.
- Monitor the performance of computer systems, networks, and applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Install and configure operating systems, applications and network equipment.
- Perform system upgrades and patches.
- Perform system backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Monitor system security and apply security patches.
- Monitor system performance and optimize system resources.
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Respond to user requests for technical assistance.
- Maintain hardware inventory records.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive records and treatment information, client files and protected health information in compliance with HIPAA, laws, rules and regulations, and established procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable physical on-site attendance. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the scheduled work day 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program's processes.
- Comply with the Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation policy and reporting requirements.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior policy requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with individuals served and their families, supervisors, co-workers and visitors by demonstrating cooperative, courteous and respectful behavior at all times.
