POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer III to help us build and operate functional systems to ensure site reliability and improve software delivery workflows. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing highly available, scalable, self-healing systems. This person will work in cross-functional and highly collaborative teams to help guide the use of best practices from an infrastructure and site reliability perspective.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.
- Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on a cloud platform.
- Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
- Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
- Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work with others in cross-functional teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to meet best practices and industry standards.
- Work closely with Security and other Enterprise Technology teams to compete deployments / implementation that meet Enterprise Security and Technology standards.
- EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar software / support role.
- Experience installing and configuring monitoring agents like Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, DataDog etc.
- Experience provisioning and administering Cloud based / Virtualized Linux machines.
- Experience provisioning and optimizing Java environments.
- Experience with Ansible, Python, Bash, or other automation languages.
- Experience provisioning and optimizing Kubernetes.
- Experience configuring and operating GitOps workflows including GIthub Actions, Jenkins, or other CICD platforms.
Preferred
- Experience in IBM Websphere or HCL Commerce.
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, GCP, RHEL or other applicable technologies.
- Experience in Enterprise level Ecommerce networking solutions.
