Position Description

The GreenSavers Director of Operations is a dynamic position charged with overseeing all aspects of production, project management, and the customer experience during the installation of energy efficiency upgrades in clients' buildings. This is an executive role in which the day-to-day work involves process creation and implementation with a team of project coordinators and managers, ensuring our work gets done with the highest level of client satisfaction as well as profitability. The Director of Operations is ultimately responsible for GreenSavers reliably hitting revenue and gross margin targets.


Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Supervises: Full Production team in Portland and Bend

The ideal fit for this role is a highly motivated leader with the vision to create the processes we need to triple in size over the next five years. We are looking for an experienced expert in operations and system building who can add value to our organization by continuously improving our processes and/or developing new ones. Excellent communication skills are crucial to sharing our vision and ensuring that pertinent information reaches both install teams and upper management in a timely and accurate manner. A focus on team-building and leadership is vital to retaining and mobilizing the project management team. Pay Rate:

$120,000 - $145,000 + Bonus and Benefits


Candidate Ideal Skills

  • 5+ years of combined operations or production experience
  • Degree in business or related field
  • Familiarity with structures and processes that drive successful construction business operations
  • Thorough understanding of team dynamics and the ability to implement processes necessary to reliably hire, promote, train, and support a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinking
  • Systems development, KPI's, SOP's
  • Great communication skills to convey critical information to diverse audiences (the team, management, and clients)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Production Management department hits revenue and gross margin targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Join Leadership Team Meetings to help craft the GreenSavers vision for the future and the strategies needed to make them a reality
  • Hire, promote, facilitate the training of, and terminate as appropriate the project management and field teams so that financial and production goals are consistently achieved within the Production management budget
  • Ensure an excellent crew safety record, minimizing risk as much as possible. This includes the development and implementation of processes to ensure compliance with Oregon CCB, OSHA, and other pertinent guidelines
  • Serve as a mentor, facilitating the collaborative development and implementation of new production processes and procedures in the Bend office as well
