Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Network Lead to oversee daily operations and ensure a high standard of service and efficiency within our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of network management, and the ability to telecommunicate effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining operational excellence while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  2. Monitor daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  3. Provide training and support to new staff members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  4. Manage network architecture and configurations, ensuring reliable LAN connectivity.
  5. Troubleshoot issues related to vSphere environments, TCP/IP protocols, and IPsec configurations.
  6. Collaborate with IT teams to implement effective network management strategies.
  7. Ensure compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices in all operational processes.
  8. Maintain documentation related to network systems and security protocols, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and upper management regarding operational challenges and successes.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of agency wide-area networks (WANs) and local-area networks (LANs).
  2. Experience assisting in the design and management of the WAN infrastructure and any processes related to the WAN.
  3. Experience providing Production Support of the Network, including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution client Networks. Provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  4. Experience supporting the dispatch of circuit and hardware vendors involved in the resolution process. Supports the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  5. Proven experience in network management with a strong understanding of LAN setups.
  6. Knowledge of network architecture principles, TCP/IP protocols, and IPsec security measures.
  7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  9. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering or related. Four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree.
