Job Summary:We are looking for a seasoned Freight Broker Agent with experience using platforms such as DAT, TruckStop, and TMS systems. In this role, you will coordinate FTL and LTL shipments, both refrigerated and dry, while also bringing your expertise to help shape our processes and grow our team. As a fully remote, commission-based position, you will have the flexibility to work independently with unlimited earning potential. Bilingual skills are a plus, and we are particularly interested in candidates who can share their knowledge and teach us new strategies to improve and innovate.
- Business Development: Use your book of business to develop and grow client relationships. Identify new opportunities by networking and market research. We are looking for someone who can also guide us in building stronger customer pipelines.
- Carrier Management: Leverage platforms like DAT, TruckStop, and TMS systems to manage carriers, negotiate competitive rates, and secure transportation capacity for both refrigerated and dry FTL/LTL shipments. Your expertise in carrier relations will help us refine and improve our processes.
- Freight Coordination: Oversee all aspects of freight management, from pickup to delivery, ensuring that both refrigerated and dry shipments are managed efficiently. Use technology to track shipments, communicate with clients and carriers, and maintain a high level of service.
- Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, providing updates, and resolving issues. Bilingual skills are highly valued, helping you engage a more diverse range of customers and carriers. We are looking for someone who can show us new ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address issues such as delays, damages, or routing challenges, collaborating with carriers and customers to find solutions. Your experience will help us improve our problem-solving methods and streamline operations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure that all shipments comply with industry regulations and that all documentation (bills of lading, contracts, etc.) is accurate. We value your insights into improving our documentation processes.
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker Agent, with a strong book of business.
- Expertise in freight management platforms such as DAT, TruckStop, and TMS systems.
- Deep knowledge of FTL and LTL transportation, including both refrigerated and dry freight.
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus, enhancing your ability to engage diverse customers and carriers.
