The Yakima Valley is located in Eastern Washington where, shielded from the rain-filled clouds by the high mountains, it tends to be sunny and arid. What We Offer
• Salary $170,000-$244,000 DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties
• Oversees department operations ensuring quality and timeliness metrics are met.
• Prepares departmental work plans, budgets, analyses, and reports.
• Directs preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports and returns.
• Oversees preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversees tax strategy and implementation, including optimizing legal and capital structures, as well as filing all tax returns for parent company and affiliates.
• Collaborates with other managers to ensure standard processes, communicate accounting procedures and provide consultation regarding fiscal matters.
• Manages budgeting and internal reporting for all corporate divisions.
• Directs annual audits as well as periodic state reviews and audits.
• Recommends, develops, and implements cash management and investment policies.
• Participates on the Benefits and Provider Compensation Committees. Provides financial strategic input and fiscal consultation to create alignment with compensation and benefits planning and the impact on overall business strategy.
• Directs the design, implementation, and monitoring of corporate internal controls.
• Provides expertise regarding applicable industry governing agencies and their impact on corporate finances and strategies.
• Represents the organization at meetings with state agencies, managed care organizations, hospitals, and other stakeholders.
• Ensures grants and contracts are processed appropriately.
• Monitors processes to ensure corporate purchasing complies with applicable regulations, bidding requirements, and maximizes efficiencies.
• Collaborates with CFO and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to evaluate contracts. Works collaboratively with CEO, CFO, Operations, and Managed Care contracting to assess current and proposed lines of business.
• Supports business model forecasting, proposed partnership models, potential managed care relationships and informs CEO on key assumptions to ensure appropriate foundational and growth forecasts.
• Coaches, mentors and trains direct report staff. Provides continuous performance management and conducts employee performance evaluations. Addresses performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
• Supports staff growth and development. Assesses the educational and experience needs of all levels of staff in collaboration with the individual. Encourages staff to seek educational opportunities incorporating job related training in addition to mandatory training.
• Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff. Provides orientation to outline job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Creates and maintains an inclusive work environment that respects diverse ideas, backgrounds and styles. Supports diversity through the selection, management, and retention of diverse employees. Creates, drives and maintains an employee engagement culture.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
• Experience: Must have at least 10 years’ progressively responsible management experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions. Experience with an organization of comparable size and complexity preferred. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Professional Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills with individuals and groups. Skills in problem solving, sound judgement, and conflict resolution. Strong analytical and decision-making skills to be able to assess the root cause of an issue and determine an optimal solution. Ability to prioritize work and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions. Ability to interpret complex federal, state, and other governmental entities’ regulations and procedures. Thorough knowledge of accounting, not-for-profit compliance, Uniform Guidance, and financial reporting. Ability to provide leadership and direction to both professional and clerical staff. Ability to provide valuable input to Executive Team for strategic planning. Strong Project Management skills. Effective consultative skills and ability to present to all levels of leadership. Advanced proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word Excel, and financial management software (Oracle ERP preferred).
