Performs and supervises mental health program service activities, including assessing service needs and providing required or requested services and necessary referrals of residents. Responsible for all documentation and updating in resident files.Job Duties:Adhere to Volunteers of America and Program/Facility Policy and Procedures. Demonstratively support Volunteers of America philosophies, policies and goals and have a measurable impact on improving program quality and outcomes.Cooperate successfully as a member of the Behavioral Health Team in planning, developing, and evaluating service delivery outcomes. Meet all contractual requirements pertaining to case management for clients; ensure consistent compliance with governing agencies expectations regarding all client services.Foster professionalism and promote a professional program image within the Volunteers of America programs and the community.Communicate effectively with others, including giving and receiving feedback on the quality of services to Program Supervisor.Make hourly rounds of Board and Care to ensure compliance to House Rules, Program Policies and Procedures, and Safety Program requirements.Enter statistical data complied from facility records into computer database.Conduct Board and Care residential meetings as required.Type letters, reports, forms and other finished copies.Perform office upkeep duties as assigned, including the daily cleaning of the Mental Health Office areas. This includes dusting, filing, vacuuming. Ensure client activity areas are neat, clean and orderly and all activities, books and craft material are visually presentable for external inspection.Answer and screen and document all incoming telephone calls. Maintains strict confidentiality at all times in communications.QualificationsMinimum of an Associate's degree in Social Science, Psychology or at least 60 units of college coursework which would lead to Bachelor's degree in related field.Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in related position.Knowledge of phone etiquette and has professional phone demeanor.Must be computer literate, using word processing software, and spreadsheet software, with ability to type and complete data entry.Has ability to operate independently under minimal supervision.Must have strong organizational skills.Must have file management experience.Must have ability to interact with facility staff, the public, and program participants.Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certifications.Must have active Food Handler's card.Must have valid California Driver's license.Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer particpates in e-Verify.
