About the role
We are looking for a talented individual to join our finance team. In this role, you will be a key player in the monthly expense closing processes, handling internal recharges calculations, bookings, and controls. You will also be responsible for the calculation and control of financial accruals. Reporting to the Group Closing Manager, your primary focus will be managing one of the main ledgers of MS Reinsurance, with an emphasis on expenses, investments, and cash management.
Your responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret raw data from various sources
- Participate in all aspects of the monthly expense closing processes
- Participate in monthly investment booking and review process
- In charge of posting cash transactions and control of the monthly bank reconciliation process
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end IFRS reporting
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (banks, auditors, tax team, FP&A, reporting team)
- Provide various ad hoc clarifications
- Support in projects
Your profile
- Commercial/accounting education or any comparable business studies
- 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, preferably under IFRS
- Experience in re/insurance is a plus
- Good knowledge of MS-Office and General Ledger systems
- Experience with Oracle will be considered a strong asset
- Good communication skills, hands-on working style; team spirit, proactivity, and flexibility
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; any additional language would be an asset (especially German)
