Accounting Manager - P&C Accounting

Smaller $30M, but growing, acquisition-minded P&C carrier will hire an Accounting Manager with a clear path to Controller. This is a commercial lines carrier writing in 9 states. Will report directly to a seasoned CFO.
Will need to bring STAT/GAAP yellow book, consolidated reporting, regulatory experience, reinsurance accounting as well as GL experience. Carrier uses SAGE and Clearwater. Skill set must include ability to meet deadlines and an eye for accuracy with very strong STAT expertise. Carrier is implementing monthly close process as opposed to quarterly to reduce stress in filing deadlines. New policy administration system implementation is on schedule.
Will have no direct reports and will work independently, but collaboratively with consulting firm who does the financials. Accounting Manager will have oversight/collaboration responsibilities in the filing of the annual statement, banking, and regulatory reporting. Will require the hire to be knowledgeable about STAT reporting and to "organize the data and enter appropriately'.
