Senior Associate, Accounting Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the team. You will execute and focus on Accounting Systems processes in support of our strategy and vision.  Your responsibilities will be linked to the day to day functioning, as well as planning, coordination and implementation of changes across our Accounting Systems. You will execute on driving efficiencies and shaping strategy and vision within the Controllers value stream with a focus on our production health and support.  You will understand the financial system value stream and partner cross-functionally with customers and gather and document requirements related to processes and system configuration changes. The accuracy of these systems is essential to reporting correct financial information to our executives, regulators, and investors. Throughout this role, you will have the ability to understand our current and future systems along with upstream and downstream processes that will impact these systems.  

The Accounting Systems team manages controls, analysis and system changes/development for our general ledger, accounts payable, travel & expense, reconciliation, consolidations, and certification systems for the entire Controllers organization. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analysis process breakdowns and provide recommendations for improvements

  • Understand financial system value stream

  • Administer system configuration changes

  • Participate in review meetings to ensure adherence to best practices and standards  

  • Recommend changes or modifications to the existing processes and standards

  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of processes that impact Accounting Systems . This includes activities, risks and issues, assumptions and dependencies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree or military experience  

  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a combination

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

  • At least 3years of experience with Financial Systems

  • At least 3 years of experience with automated reconciliation systems

  • At least 1 year of experience with QuickSight, Tableau, or a combination

  • At least 1 year of experience with SQL

  • At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or a combination
