A Day in the Life of the Membership Coordinator

As a Membership Coordinator , you will ensure the smooth operation of the branch front desk, managing membership and program registrations while delivering exceptional service. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth and satisfaction of the community, helping to foster connections and support the organization’s mission of youth development , healthy living , and social responsibility .


Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee branch database management in line with Association policies.
  • Meet or exceed monthly membership sales targets .
  • Model and promote excellent customer service for members and guests.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise welcome center staff , ensuring effective operations.
  • Manage financial transactions , including daily deposits and accounts receivable.
  • Execute membership renewal processes and prepare membership reports.
  • Maintain and update facility bulletin boards and member communication.
  • Address member questions and complaints with a focus on resolution.
  • Implement member retention strategies and enhance the overall member experience.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree
  • Two years of customer service or clerical experience.
  • Flexibility to take on different shifts, including early mornings (5:15 AM) and evening hours.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and relate effectively to diverse groups.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in general office practices and knowledge of MS Word and Excel preferred
  • CPR and First-Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
