The CRA Mortgage Loan Officer will establish and maintain relationships with community based organizations, Realtors, and governmental agencies which result in lending opportunities for the bank to ensure full compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act. The incumbent will sell and originate residential mortgage loans to a predetermined sales goal focused in CRA assessment area needs. The incumbent will identify and meet with prospects, explain various mortgage products available, determine best alternatives together with prospects and finalize sales. The incumbent will work with community based organizations and municipalities to collect and submit subordinate financing (down payment assistance programs) for consideration in originating mortgages to low-moderated income borrowers. This position will support the entire WSFS Bank footprint, including Southeastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. The incumbent will have an office at one of our branch or corporate locations in Delaware or Pennsylvania.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must have a minimum one year of experience marketing and originating CRA mortgage loans and loan products.
- Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
- Must have effective proven effective sales skills.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be self-motivated and ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
- Must be willing and able to travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, and perform presentations when requested.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have superior customer service skills.
- Must have proficiency using Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. Proficiency with industry standard Mortgage origination software programs is strongly preferred.
