Java AWS Developer (US/Canada, 1 Year Experience, Remote)

Hiring Type: Full-Time

Base Salary: $60K-$68K Per Annum.

Description:

As a Junior Java AWS Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications on the AWS platform. You will work closely with a team of experienced developers to design, implement, and optimize scalable and secure applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is passionate about cloud development and wants to gain hands-on experience with AWS technologies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and contribute to the design and architecture of cloud-based applications.
  2. Develop and deploy scalable and secure Java applications on AWS using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and others.
  3. Implement serverless architectures and microservices using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related technologies.
  4. Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of applications by optimizing code and leveraging AWS services.
  5. Integrate applications with other AWS services such as RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, and more.
  6. Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance and troubleshoot issues.
  7. Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, best practices, and architectural patterns.
  8. Collaborate with senior developers and architects to implement new features and enhancements.
  9. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Solid understanding of Java programming language and object-oriented design principles.
  3. Knowledge of AWS services and experience working with the AWS platform.
  4. Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices.
  5. Experience with database technologies like SQL and NoSQL.
  6. Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  7. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  10. Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in cloud development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
  2. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  3. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  4. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  5. Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like AWS Cloud Formation or Terraform.
