Overall Purpose: Responsible for developing and implementing tax systems, policies, methods, and procedures related to all tax fixed asset deductions and general business credits for federal and state/local income tax returns, quarterly estimates, budgets, and forecasts. This position collaborates with other functional groups in Tax and with Accounting and Corporate Financial Planning to ensure compliance with federal and state/local reporting and payment requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
- Recommends ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations.
- Establishes operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to subordinate managers.
- Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine the success of operation.
- Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies which affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
- Erroneous decisions will result in critical delays in schedules and or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.
- Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and or internal clients.
- Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
- Manages activities through subordinate managers who exercise supervision in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Education: Bachelors or Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 10 or more years of experience and at least two years of management responsibility.

Our Director-Tax earns between $158,200 - $237,400 annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
