Covenant Chapel Reformed Episcopal Church (CCREC) seeks an approachable and personable rector to pastor its congregation. We need a strong, dedicated, and compassionate leader who can develop, motivate, and grow the congregation through liturgical worship in the Anglican Tradition, prayer, Bible study, and outreach ministries. We highly value the Sunday homily; therefore, we are looking for a gifted preacher whose sermons both exposit Scripture and prepare us to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Additional key activities of the church’s rector include:
- Directing Christian education
- Performing pastoral visits
- Helping to provide and approve content for the church website and other types of digital outreach
We are seeking to grow our evangelism in our community and are prayerfully considering different options, including:
- Working with senior living communities
- Establishing Bible studies in our different local areas
- Partnering with other local organizations
Covenant Chapel is in Basking Ridge, NJ, which is an affluent suburb of New York City. We fully own our own building, which seats a maximum of 130 people and includes a fellowship hall and classrooms. We currently have 25 active members, most of whom have been long-time congregants, are age 50 or older, and live 10+ miles from the church.
