Program Manager – Upward Bound Math Science

Position Overview

The Boston University Upward Bound Math Science Program Manager has both management and direct service responsibilities including:

1. Development of the program’s curriculum and STEM related activities, such as Summer Science Wednesdays and High School Vacation Week Laboratories.
2. Working with the Upward Bound program manager to hire, train, and supervise program teachers.
3. Providing college application, financial aid application, and academic advising and support services to participants.
4. Arranging college visits.
5. Conferring with program teachers and teachers at target high schools regarding student achievement.
6. Management of participant academic assessments.
7. Connecting across departments and units at BU and the community through website content creation and social media.
8. Supporting the project director in the preparation of project reports, participant recruitment, and liaising with parents of project participants and staff at target schools.
