ID: 50097143 Shift: day Description: Position full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care. May include some work at our local Long Term Care facility. Treats all patient age ranges and diagnoses within the State of Alaska s occupational therapy scope of practice. Includes home visits, village travel, and frequent collaboration with medical providers and requires strong didactic skills due to Alaska s Direct Access privilege for occupational therapy. Incorporates evidenced-based medicine into patient plans of care. Exemplifies professional conduct, patient care ethics and respect for cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Modifies patient care plans appropriately, using age-specific and patient-specific considerations. Supports the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation s mission statement Working Together to Achieve Excellent Health. Position s degree from an accredited program in Occupational TherapyMinimum Experience:No minimum clinical experience required but is preferred.Licensing/ be licensed in good standing in Alaska as an OT or have a good-standing license of Occupational Therapy in another state and awaiting licensure in Alaska. Must also hold a current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current BLS.Equipment/Tools:?Office equipment (i.e. computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine)Hospital Occupational Therapy Department environment includes hi-lo table, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities, ADL training room (includes bathroom and kitchen). a treatment table is provided.
