Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
Payrate: $18.74/hr. + Tips (Dependent on experience)
Shift: Swing Shift (Thursday and Friday required)
Position Type: Part-time, Non-exempt
PURPOSE
Provide guests with exceptional guest service through Sportsbook transactions. Guest interactions include recording sports wagers, handling cash transactions and paying out winning wagers. Assisting guests with understanding sports betting terminology and betting options.
SUPERVISORY SCOPE
- None
- Process and record all guest transactions at the Sportsbook windows.
- Understand, support and explain all Sportsbook content, promotions, betting events, and betting odds as expected.
- Operate wagering terminal and perform machine maintenance, including but not limited to loading new tickets and keeping the area free of all debris.
- Explains the rules and variations of betting at players request, answers players questions and assists them with the game/race in order to provide adequate customer service and promote betting activity.
- Pays all winning bets according to proper odds, to ensure that winning players receive accurate payments.
- Balances the money with ticket sales and payments to winners in order to ensure that all monies are accurately accounted for at the end of each day.
- Must have a full understanding of all wagers offered on betting board with ability to explain to customers as needed.
- Assist supervisors in identifying guests with special needs or liberal betting to ensure the protection of the company assets and best guest service possible.
- Observe and report unusual or suspicious wagering patterns or transactions.
- Adheres to all casino policies as well as Federal, State, and gaming regulations.
- Follow business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality and efficiency throughout working day.
- Maintains visibility and accessibility to guests and staff; maintains effective communication with all staff to ensure room is performing at established standards.
- Interact with Sportsbook Supervisor, Sportsbook Manager and Risk Management and Trading Service partners to maximize profitability.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
- Previous guest service experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with software interaction and menu navigation
- Ability to provide quick, accurate, and efficient service while facing short-term deadlines
- Ability and desire to grow sports betting knowledge
- Ability to understand and follow State, Federal, Sportsbook and Title 31 compliance and regulations.
- Able and willing to work any shift especially weekends.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work effectively with all Casino departments.
- Genuine interest in sports and gaming
Education and Experience :
- Previous sportsbook or casino experience
- Six (6) months cash handling experience with multiple transaction types
