Become Our Next After-School Program Site Lead!

Do you have a passion for youth development and a knack for leadership? We’re searching for a dedicated After-School Program Site Lead to oversee our Club at the Y after-school site in beautiful Fish Creek, WI. If you’re ready to make a difference in the lives of young people while fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong partnerships between Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, local schools, and community partners. Lead and inspire a team of support staff to deliver high-quality programs that align with our Youth Development mission.
  • Youth Success: Oversee the coordination and delivery of activities and services that prepare youth for success. Provide guidance and positive role modeling, ensuring a Club environment that promotes achievement and self-esteem.
  • Resource Management: Ensure the site operates smoothly by managing supplies, equipment, and facilities. Communicate needs to the YMCA Director and Director of Clubhouse Operations, and ensure all program components are implemented safely and effectively.
  • Community & Family Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with youth and their families. Use a strength-based approach and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) to create a positive environment.
  • Program Documentation: Ensure all required documents, such as attendance and behavior forms, are completed accurately and on time. Support volunteer management and assist in promoting overall Club membership.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: Previous or similar experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, leading activities for middle school youth, and managing youth programs.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong initiative, ability to motivate and lead through positive reinforcement, and energy to keep the program running smoothly.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with youth and handle discipline when necessary.
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Education: A four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Youth Development Expertise: 1-2 years of experience in youth guidance and development programs, with knowledge of community organizations and assistance agencies.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds; bilingual abilities are a plus.
