About the Job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You are equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

As a YouTube (YT) Resource Management Senior Technical Program Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of YouTube's infrastructure. This role requires leading complex ML and standard compute projects, collaborating with YT engineering, and analyzing usage trends. You will become a subject-matter expert on data-center resource management, providing forecasts and managing supply. Your responsibilities will include development and evaluation of capacity plans, optimization of resource utilization, ensuring efficient procurement and deployment, driving process improvements and infrastructure projects, and maintaining the health of YouTube's infrastructure footprint. Your work will impact the speed of product development, the rate of innovation, and the overall success of YouTube.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical programs and operationalize cross-functional team initiatives. Collaborate within the Alphabet and YouTube ecosystem to accelerate internal efforts through leadership and programmatic work across Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Data Science teams.
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management, whereby improvements are measurable and the impact can be felt organization-wide.
  • Provide advice on adopting the best Infra-related practices at YouTube. Deliver operational mechanisms with a first principles and data-driven approach. Develop planning while leading large cross-functional initiatives, including budget management, stakeholder representation, team coordination, and OKR tracking.
  • Present findings to leadership guiding strategy and establish joint priorities. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve Alphabet engagements. Develop a cohesive narrative about how your work delivers impact.
  • Deliver measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity.
