**Shift:** 12-hour Nights, every other weekend, first to float
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years preferred
**License:** Required to submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
- Passing of Basic Dysrhythmia exam with at least 83%
- Experience in Neuro and Cardiac (preferred)
- NIHSS certification
**Job Description:**
- Work in a telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 for both days and nights.
- Responsible for reading and interpreting strips, with support from 24/7 Tele/Monitor Techs.
- Care for cardiac/tele patients, including conditions like CHF, post-CABG, dysrhythmias, and more.
- Handle set-rate drips such as Cardizem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, and Dopamine following step-by-step protocols.
- Participate in a dynamic environment that requires floating primarily within the monitor pods, with possible float to MedSurg to handle tele patients only.
- Follow dress code with navy scrubs, including optional scrub jackets.
- Engage in unit-specific orientation with a half-day involving HR and the rest with a unit educator, followed by shifts with floor orientation.
- Be part of a team recognized as a Joint Commission heart attack and stroke center with intervention capabilities.
- Take part in a unit that values great communication and is welcoming to travelers, with access to management and resources.
- Participate in self-scheduling, with block scheduling available.
- Fulfill weekend and holiday requirements as outlined, with specific days for coverage.

- The unit works closely with other monitor units and maintains high standards of care. Travelers often choose to extend their assignments due to the supportive environment.
