Huntington Learning Center is hiring a Center Director to manage its Frederick MD center. A leading provider of supplemental education since 1977 with approximately 300 centers across the country, Huntington Learning Centers offer individualized instruction in foundational skills such as reading, phonics, writing, study skills, and math, as well as private 1-1 ACT and SAT programs.
We are seeking a high-energy individual to join the team in Frederick in a sales and management capacity. This will include meeting with parents and enrolling students in programs; monitoring the overall quality of student programs; managing and developing the full-time Assistant Director; hiring, training, and managing the part-time teaching staff; and marketing student services internally and outside the center. This individual is responsible for meeting revenue, operational, and marketing goals for the Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Actively generate center revenue by meeting with parents and students during enrollment process to present program options
- Develop and maintain student programs to achieve parent and student goals and academic achievement
- Meet monthly with parents of enrolled students
- Manage and develop full-time Assistant Director
- Hire, train, and manage part-time teaching staff
- Visit area schools to meet with teachers and administrators on behalf of enrolled students
- Identify and lead local marketing activities to promote Huntington services
Requirements and qualifications include:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (Education degree is a plus!)
- 5+ years of professional experience in management, customer service, retail sales and/or education preferred
- Sales experience
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Experience managing full- and part-time staff
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and team-oriented personality
- Passion and desire to work with students
- Strong organizational/administrative skills and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Solid PC skills required
- Rotating Schedule including Evenings and Saturdays
Compensation:
Position offers competitive base salary based on education and experience and commission/bonus program.
Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Bonus: $3,000 - $15,000
