The opportunity

As the Director EY Assist EAP Clinical Team, you will develop and manage the employee assistance and daily life resource and referral services for partners/principals, staff, and family members in the US firm. These services are designed to enhance the well-being, job performance, and work/life balance of individuals and families. Activities include one-on-one consults, crisis intervention, clinical referrals, assessments, case management, and follow-up for EY staff and partners. You will drive the EY Assist program marketing and communications, conduct relevant research, and engage in professional and public speaking about best practices in workplace mental health.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Select and manage EY Assist vendors in the development, implementation, and delivery of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and daily life resource and referral services.
  2. Ensure compliance of services with legal regulations and alignment with firm goals and culture.
  3. Stay current on research and best practices related to EY Assist service areas, including childcare, eldercare, emotional well-being, and employee performance management.
  4. Possess specialized knowledge of work/life and EAP policies, procedures, and practices.
  5. Market EY Assist services internally to achieve utilization levels that result in a favorable return-on-investment.
  6. Collaborate with other firm functions on initiatives such as change management and crisis management.
  7. Deliver clinical assessment, referral, and follow-up services to improve job and personal adjustments.
  8. Serve as a national member of the firm’s Crisis Response Team.
  9. Collaborate with the Benefits Team on behavioral health service coverage and delivery.
  10. Manage databases, reports, records, and analyses for business reports and budget cost analyses.
  11. Establish goals for the function and pursue assignments related to strategic, long-term objectives.
  12. Make impactful decisions and negotiate outcomes with a broad scope of authority.

Skills and attributes for success

  1. Extensive clinical knowledge and experience to respond to emergency situations.
  2. Expertise in behavioral health practice specialties.
  3. Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  4. Ability to collaborate efficiently with team members.
  5. Sound judgment and effective management of evolving priorities.
  6. Experience as an EAP professional is preferred.
  7. Technological skills in Microsoft suite and data analysis.
  8. Advanced understanding of HIPAA privacy requirements.
  9. Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
  10. Possess specialized knowledge of EAP and organizational psychology.

Minimum qualifications

  1. Advanced degree (MA, MSW, Ph.D.) in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 12+ years related experience in EAP and clinical roles.
  3. State licensure in a mental health discipline (e.g., LPC, LCSW).

The base salary range for this job is $221,400 to $438,400, with variations based on location.
