Job Description
The Diageo Beer Company (DBC) Data Analyst is responsible for championing great service to the DBC Customer Operations team by ensuring our data is maintained and updated accurately. They will lead a number of critical support functions to the OTC process. Outstanding interpersonal skills are required as this position deals directly with the Distributors, Commercial Sales and Finance teams along with various internal teams (Supply Planning, Logistics, Brand and Innovation).
Role Description
- Lead a number of critical support functions to the OTC process, including listings and catalogs
- Run and publish the daily KPI reporting
- Assist the Customer Operations Analysts (COA) with allocation reporting for Innovation projects
- Drive continuous improvements that are more complex in nature via critical thinking, discovering best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ensure data is maintained and updated accurately (ex SAP MasterData, Distributor Profile)
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of the repack process
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on existing & new systems including Diageo Connect, WinShuttle, PowerBI, BOT development
- Ad hoc reporting
- Back up COAs as needed
- Support Customer Operations manager as needed
Financial Responsibility
- Ensure that data is accurate as it impacts the total US Markets
- Maintain, monitor, and influence the results of relevant key performance indicators across service, cost, cash and quality
- Understand and take appropriate action to handle cost impact of order violations, order expedites, and other actions taken to deliver service against operational constraints and budgets
- Drive the ongoing development and refinement of Customer Operations processes and metrics to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies in service, cost, cash and quality
- Collaborate with Finance teams during monthly financial closes
Requirements
- Degree in supply chain, business management, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain or advanced analytics within the Beverage Alcohol industry or a fast-paced CPG company
- Must be proficient in Excel and SAP
- Experience in PowerBI preferred
- Confirmed analytical capabilities and problem solving skills
- Must be able to organize and prioritize a heavy workload and see issues through to completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external customers across various levels of the organization
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and handle customer expectations
