Job Summary:

This position serves as a member of the enrollment management team and incorporates a full range of students, focused on international admissions recruitment responsibilities including personalized contact and engagement with prospective students and families, building relationships with college counselors and local community leaders, presenting on eligible academic programs at the university as well as the admissions steps. Assisting with follow-up communication for inquiries and prospective students to inform them on how to apply to the university. Engagement with applicants and newly admitted students, evaluation of applications for admissions, and helping students finalize their next steps to enrollment. Admissions Counselors are territory managers and expected to grow networking opportunities and UST brand recognition in the recruitment territories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the University at off or on campus admissions- related programs and
  • Recruit and manage international student populations for admissions into all program
  • Be familiar with eligible academic programs within the Associate, Bachelor, and Graduate degrees for international students.
  • Confidently present to groups of prospective international students, families, professionals, community leaders, etc. about the opportunities at UST.
  • Conduct off campus or virtual interviews with prospective international students and parents, providing accurate information regarding admissions standards, academic and related programs, student life, cost and scholarship opportunities.
  • Implement follow-up activities including written and electronic correspondence, telephone calls, and texting.
  • Utilize the university's CRM- SLATE for logging interactions, travels, and
  • Review applications for admissions, analyze qualifications and exercise judgment of
  • In consultation with the Office of the Registrar and Academic Advising, evaluate college transcripts for applicants with dual credit academic history.
  • Ability to develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that contribute to the goals of admissions recruitment.
  • Plan and execute special projects in conjunction with the goals and objectives of the office as it relates to international students.
  • Works closely with members of the admissions leadership team in the development, implementation and evaluation of the university's strategic recruitment plan and leverage/analysis of enrollment data in the decision-making process.
  • Collaborates with International Student and Scholar Services for the onboarding process of new international students.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills, vibrant personality, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

  • A valid driver's license and must be able to work extended hours or weekend during peak times and for special programs, projects, and events.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Physical demands: This position will report in office on UST campus with select travel domestically and internationally. Significant evening and weekend work may be necessary.
