**Job Title:** Mammography Technologist

**Certifications:** BLS, ARRT
**Must-Have:**
- Proficiency in diagnostic and screening mammograms
- Willingness to float to other campuses
**Job Description:**
- Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting.
- Produce high-quality radiographic images while providing compassionate care to patients.
- Perform quality control activities in compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA regulations.
- Conduct 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Fine Needle Aspirations, Needle Localizations, Screening Mammograms, and Stereotactic Biopsies.
- Work in conjunction with physician staff to perform related special procedures.
- Maintain working knowledge of breast anatomy, proper radiographic exposure factors, and quality control procedures.
- Utilize various x-ray equipment and applications specific to mammography and processing units.
- Handle patient groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Participate in a mandatory 40-hour orientation.
- Complete required modules pre-start and annually, with a self-reported average of 16 hours spent on modules.
- Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed.
- Potential to work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

- First-time travelers accepted
- All new department technologists are to have 25 observed exams before working independently.
- All travelers must be willing to float within a 40-mile radius if needed. Travelers are responsible for their own transportation to any other facility where they are assigned to float.
